Transcript: "Rush Busy, But Not Hurried" - Toronto Sun, July 30, 2003
Ten years ago today, Rush played Sarsstock (Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto). This latest transcript addition appeared in the Toronto Sun on July 29th, 2003, the day before the show. "Rush Busy, But Not Hurried" includes an interview with Alex Lifeson where he talks about planning the setlist for Sarsstock, working on mixing Rush In Rio, and of his thoughts of being on the same bill with AC/DC once again. - Thanks to Jordan Finkelstein for the original transcript.

Transcript: "Rush & Roulette" - Metal Hammer, October 1991
My latest transcript is "Rush & Roulette", an interview with Geddy Lee in the October 1991 issue of the UK's Metal Hammer. Geddy discusses Roll The Bones, the band's changing styles and the fans that change with them, and hoping to tour the UK for Roll The Bones (which they did...their last time until R30). - Thanks to Mark Rosenthal for the original article!

Transcript: "Permanent Waves Album Review" - Melody Maker, February 2, 1980
You know the songs front and back, so it can be interesting to read early reviews first published decades ago. Here is a "Permanent Waves Album Review" from the February 2nd, 1980 issue of Melody Maker written by Steve Gett, who would later write the Rush biography "Success Under Pressure". - Thanks to Erwin De Lathouwer for the original article.

Transcript: "Mind Over Metal" - Hit Parader, December 1985
"Mind Over Metal: Canadian Trio Promise Big Things On Latest Album" is a new transcript from the December 1985 issue of Hit Parader magazine. The article provides a history of the Rush's first 10 years through the release of their latest album, Power Windows. Unfortunately the article includes some false information such as "...Rush went through a series of drummers before settling on old friend John Rutsey to sit in with the band for their self-titled debut LP" and "Moving Pictures - which featured the band's first hit single, 'Spirit Of Radio'". - Thanks to Joe Sterle for the original article!

Neil discusses Test For Echo, the inspiration behind the albums' themes, the artwork, the internet, the Order of Canada, looking back on the past and the Retrospectives, and more. - Thanks to Mark Rosenthal for the original article!

The current issue of the UK's Fireworks magazine includes "Rush: Fame At Last" a new interview with Alex Lifeson. Key topics discussed include the Rock & Roll inauguration, the process of choosing a setlist for a tour, and hints at a future anniversary tour (which Geddy has recently said might not happen any time soon, i.e. not in 2014).

Transcript: "Rush's Clockwork Angels Completes The Steampunk Journey" - Mobile Production Monthly, June 2013
Last week I posted a link to a full PDF of the current issue of Mobile Production Monthly magazine featuring Rush on the cover. In case you missed it, it contains three Rush related articles which have been transcribed and are now available here. The first story details the video and lighting technology used on tour; the second article is an interview with FOH Engineer Brad Madix and the transcript concludes with a short feature on Rush's audio company, Clair Global.

Rush In Rio web scheme
This coming October will see the 10th Anniversary of the release of Rush In Rio, Rush's fifth live album and first live DVD. In anticipation of this event, I've had the Rush In Rio web scheme prepared for some time, but in case you haven't heard, there is a new live Rush DVD and live album coming this fall! Rather than putting off utilizing the Rio scheme until some time in the future, I decided I would rather use it sooner than later, so...I hope you like it, I know I do.
