Today marks two years to the day that Rush played its final concert on the R40 tour. I was reminded of this recently when putting together my latest transcript addition, '10 Ways to Sound Like Neil Peart' from the June 2016 issue of Drum! magazine. As the intro reads, 'At the conclusion of the final show of the tour, at the Forum in Los Angeles, Neil Peart did something he'd never done before, joining bandmates Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson downstage and waving, seemingly, to Rush fans everywhere.' The article goes on to cite 10 aspects of Neil Peart's greatness both as a drummer and as a human being, that one must adhere to to sound like like him.
